Becoming Neuroaffirming

Professional Mentorship for Therapists & Coaches

Become a truly Neuroaffirming service provider

Support your neurodivergent clients with confidence

Neuroaffirming professional mentorship is for psychologists, therapists and coaches who want to move beyond surface level inclusion and practise with depth, clarity and integrity. Together, we explore how to offer ethical, strengths based and genuinely neuroinclusive support that honours neurodivergent lives, without relying on outdated or deficit focused models.

Neuroaffirming Professional Mentorship

This is a dynamic, co created space for growth. It is not traditional supervision, and it is not a generic professional development offering. This mentorship is for practitioners who feel the limits of existing models and are ready to practise with more depth, integrity and confidence.

Together, we build a reflective, attuned and forward moving space that supports you to sharpen your clinical thinking, strengthen your confidence, and work in ways that are genuinely aligned with your values. This is as much about how you experience yourself as a practitioner as it is about what you offer your clients.

More than skills training, this is a nourishing and intellectually alive process. One that supports you to develop meaningful, life changing work without burning out, shrinking yourself, or contorting your practice to fit systems that were never designed for neurodivergent lives.

What this mentorship offers

Deep clarity on what it truly means to be neuroaffirming
Move beyond buzzwords and surface level adaptations. This mentorship supports you to genuinely embody neuroaffirming practice in ways that are thoughtful, creative and clinically grounded, across all neurotypes.

A critical and compassionate perspective on the medical model
Develop a clear understanding of where the medical model falls short, how this impacts both clients and clinicians, and how to work beyond it without losing rigour, safety or professional credibility. Together, we explore strengths based, attuned and innovative ways of practising that honour complexity rather than flatten it.

A solid grounding in neurobiology
Gain a deeper understanding of how neurodivergent nervous systems function, why this matters clinically, and how to align your therapeutic work with current science rather than outdated assumptions.

A neurodivergent and giftedness informed lens on strengths and differences
Reframe difference away from deficit. This work supports you to recognise unique abilities, patterns of intelligence, depth and potential, and to integrate this understanding meaningfully into assessment, formulation and therapeutic work.

Practical guidance on accommodations and environments
Learn how to design therapeutic spaces, structures and processes that reduce barriers and support regulation, capacity and safety, for your clients and for you.

The path to becoming a confident advocate
Develop the confidence to use your voice. This includes public facing advocacy, leadership within your field, and knowing how to speak about neurodivergence in ways that are informed, compassionate and strategically effective.

Developing your own neuroaffirming identity
This work is not just for your clients. Neuroaffirming practice requires integration. We explore how to bring these principles into your own professional identity and personal life in ways that feel sustainable, grounded and genuinely affirming.

Mastering neuroaffirming language in assessments and screenings
Learn how to write and speak in ways that empower rather than pathologise. This includes aligning your language with best practice while still meeting professional, ethical and organisational requirements.

Access to a rich and carefully curated resource base
You benefit from over 20 years of clinical practice and leadership. This includes research, tools, frameworks and resources that are thoughtfully matched to where you are in your learning and development, saving you time, energy and the exhaustion of seeking aligned material on your own.

Who this mentorship is for

This mentorship is designed for psychologists, therapists, counsellors, coaches and allied professionals who:

• Work with neurodivergent and or gifted clients and want to practise in genuinely neuroaffirming ways
• Feel constrained by traditional supervision or medicalised frameworks
• Are questioning deficit based models and looking for more ethical, human and attuned approaches
• Want depth, nuance and intellectual rigour rather than surface level training
• Are developing or refining assessment, screening or therapeutic practices
• Are ready to integrate neuroaffirming principles into their own professional identity
• Want to lead, advocate or speak more openly about neurodivergence, but with clarity and confidence

This space is particularly suited to practitioners who think deeply, feel deeply, and are ready to practise with greater honesty and coherence.

How this differs from supervision or consultation

This mentorship is not about case management, compliance or performance monitoring.

While clinical material may be explored, the focus is not on being evaluated or corrected. Instead, this work centres on reflective depth, conceptual clarity, identity development and alignment.

You are not coming here to be moulded into a particular way of practising. You are supported to develop your own neuroaffirming voice, grounded in science, ethics and lived understanding.

This is a collaborative, co created relationship. One that honours your existing expertise while supporting growth, challenge and expansion where it matters.

How the mentorship works

Mentorship sessions are offered on a one to one basis and are shaped around your specific practice, questions and stage of development. This is a co created process, rather than a fixed curriculum.

Sessions are typically held monthly, allowing time for reflection, integration and real world application between meetings. Some practitioners choose to work more intensively for a defined period, while others prefer a slower, steadier rhythm. This can be discussed during the application process.

Sessions take place online and provide a confidential, spacious environment for reflective thinking, clinical and conceptual exploration, identity development and professional growth.

This mentorship is not time limited by default. Instead, it unfolds over the period that feels clinically, professionally and personally appropriate for you.

Availability and application

This mentorship is offered on a limited availability basis. I intentionally work with a small number of practitioners at any one time to ensure the depth, presence and continuity this work requires.

Places are application based. This is not about gatekeeping, but about fit. The application process allows us both to consider whether this mentorship is the right space for you at this point in your professional journey.

If the mentorship is not the right fit, or the timing is not aligned, I will always aim to guide you towards other supportive options where possible.

A gentle invitation

If you feel yourself leaning in as you read this, you are likely already sensing that this work is for you.

This mentorship is for practitioners who are ready to move beyond formulaic models, to think deeply, practise ethically and grow into a more grounded, confident and neuroaffirming professional identity.

You do not need to have everything figured out. You do need to be curious, reflective and open to working with complexity.

To explore this mentorship, you are invited to submit an application. This allows us to begin the conversation thoughtfully and with care.

We encourage you to book a free 15 minute consultation with us to discuss your needs and see if we are a good fit for each other.
